Where do those on a budget of $US100 or less per night stay in Labuan Bajo before and after a liveaboard (one night either side)? Looking for quiet, reliable shower, decent wifi and either walking distance to restaurants or free shuttle to and from downtown.

I recently stayed at Wae Molas and was happy with the experience. Nice rooms, pool, good food and overall reasonably priced. There are only 4 rooms so it's small and quaint. Location is very good as well at 5 min walk from central LBJ.

personally i like to stay at bintang flores, but the problem is the hotel is quite far to go downtown, but the others is good, the water no problem, the internet good, beachfront and good food. 2x i stayed in this hotel

I stayed one night at Le Pirate. Cute with good food, bar, movie night...BUT my room was teeny tiny. Luckily I was solo because I had to put my luggage on the bed.
There are different rooms though and I believe a room with bunk beds that would be larger...
It is right downtown but I was happy with the food at the hotel for both dinner and the included breakfast.

Just came back from LaBaun Bajo- 1 week liveaboard with Current Junkies.
Inbound I stayed at Bintang Flores it was awesome, close to Made in Italy restaurant which is probably the best place to eat.
Outbound I stayed at LaCecile- Stunning views from the pool and patio. Both were under 100. I’d probably just stay at la Cecile next trip.

I'm actually diving with Current Junkies next year! How was your experience with them?

CJS you'll be stunned, the scottish girl that run the boat is a legend, you will be in good hands.
Full disclaimer , she is a good friend of mine and in my few years in the industry i barely came across someone as passionate and dedicate to diving.

It was above and beyond my expectations!!
Emma is the cruise director and is legit. Super through with her briefings, does a current check before every dive. 4 divers max makes it perfect for decisions as to where to go. Food was unbelievable- like the current .
