Americans could come in in a NAFTA visa which doesn't require sponsorship, only a job offer and a relevant degree. I'd imagine all the jobs except the buyer would qualify.

I can't figure out if we're still under NAFTA or if USMCA now is in place. I believe the Canadians and Mexicans ratified USMCA but last I heard it was still waiting on US congressional approval.

From what I can gather, Mexico ratified it, the US and Canada haven't.

Either way, the cross border labor stuff that allows people to show up at the border and get a temporary work permit are virtually identical between NAFTA and USMCA.
 
Sounds tempting, but no way I leave Span again. Developing firmware in remote would be perfect.
