This is what I got from Battastic, an eBay seller.

The o-ring is the exact size needed. I couldn't see any difference between the replacement and the original.

The packing made me a little nervous, as it's just a standard envelope, wax paper and battery and o-ring in little plastic zip-locks, but it was fine.

it's a one dollar battery and 5 cent oring, why wouldn't they ship it that way to keep costs down?

Because they charge $9.50 + $2.50 shipping?

i still fail to see why that is a problem.

you got the product you paid for and it works.

sure, you could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere, but that isn't on the seller.

I bought a four pack of the batteries off of Amazonia for $4.00...probably could have purchased orings for less too with free shipping! Long live Amazonia!

That’s excessive!

Your first response was as if you were defending the seller for keeping costs down because I somehow bought something really cheap and they deserve to keep costs down to make some kind of profit?

I paid almost 10x the cost of the parts plus almost 2.5x in shipping. Shipping charge was specifically $2.50. Shipping was one postage stamp, which amounts to about $0.50 currently. Why shouldn't I expect better /packing/ so that the o-ring doesn't get mangled in transit?

This post was meant to be informative, anyway. I wanted to show what I received and how it was packaged and shipped.

Yes.

Where can I buy properly sized o-rings? The reason I went with this package was because I saw another thread where people were trying to figure out the proper size o-ring and some people just said to buy on eBay and save the hassle.

You can find that battery pretty much everywhere.
Same for the o-ring...

Any pointers to an online store that will have exact o-rings that will work for the Cressi Giotto/Leonardo? Sherwood Amphos? Sherwood Vision? It's not as straight-forward as just finding an online store selling o-rings, otherwise the thread on scubaboard trying to figure these things out wouldn't be so confusing.
