XS Scuba 2nd Stage Plug Set - Experience?

I'm considering using these 2nd Stage Plug Set — XS Scuba for winter storage and air travel in the futrue. I did a simple search and didn't find anything in the forums. Does anyone have experience using these with Scuba Pro regulators?

why do you feel the need to disconnect for storage and travel?

Air travel compact-ability and weight distribution are my initial thoughts. Storage so that they can be stored in smaller containers.

Tbone presents a good question. Nevertheless, the plugs do work as intended.

Stuff the second stages in a sock and you won't have to worry about those threads.
The hose ends are female so you don't have to worry about those anyway. They'll prevent them from getting marred if they get jumbled around, but that's about it. If they're in storage, they shouldn't get jumbled around, and for air-travel I always pack regs inside of clothes so they don't move. Never had an issue.
