When were the last Scubapro regulators made in the US before it got offshored, and which models were they?
I’m guessing MK 5 or MK 10
And 109 metal 2nd stages
Maybe early G250?

Way later, mk20's and the recalled G500's were us made. Late 90's

You don't get how margin works do you?

In fact if duty goes up 25% and retail price only 25% then a company is making less margin roi which is a big deal.

not with fixed percentage margin markups

800 dollar regulator pre-tariff: 400 cost to dealer, 200 cost to scubapro from oem
after tariff, 250 cost to scubapro, 500 to dealer, 1000 msrp retail (25% increase)

scubapro profit goes 200 -> 250 after tariff
dealer profit goes 400 -> tariff

the only loser is the customer

As far as I know they are made in Italy
Many of the products are actually manufactured by third party smaller companies and then rebranded as Scubapro, Mares, etc. etc. ironically, the smaller manufacturers that remain unknown to the public sometimes are the same and they work for different competitors. The same applies to the fashion and perfume industries. You can buy directly from them paying less and getting the same or even a better product for half the price...
For example
Scubatec --> regulators (I think Mares, perhaps also Scubapro)
Scubatec
Bags sport --> BCD, regulators, etc. especially BCD (Mares, etc. etc.)
Bags Sport Diving Products - PRODUCTS
I don't know if it is feasible to buy from the USA, especially in case you need to check the regs or to buy spare parts, but it could make sense to but from the EU
