I’m guessing that the answer to your original question is no. Have you approached Shearwater directly?
Have not approached Shearwater directly. Don't have things like sales receipts. Took it to my LDS with the intention of purchasing a replacement but they did not have a grey one in stock. They only had a couple of yellow ones and I did not fancy a yellow transmitter. My LDS asked me to leave the failed unit with them, which I did.

I might head to the AquaLung dealer to purchase one next week as I depart for Socorro on the 6th.

To the OP and others, question for you all. On the Suunto Eon Core tank pod that I own I have an orifice that is placed inside the nipple of the tank pod and then it is inserted into the hose assembly. Does the shearwater pod have this as well?

Just wondering because the OP’s over pressure valve is not present. If an orifice was installed could it have prevented the over pressure valve from being “blown out”?

Wonder if the orifice would work in the shearwater pod?

Just brain storming.

there already is an orifice restriction at the first stage hp port, so not sure what the point of the suunto one is

Don’t know other than it was a product notice. When you purchase a suunto tank pod you get 2 orifices. One for a hose setup and the other if it is attached directly to the yoke.

Forget the receipt. I'm sure that Shearwater would like to know about this failure. They could diagnose better than your LDS.

I can only presume that Shearwater is aware of this failure through this thread. I never asked my LDS to pursue a warranty claim, but based on what they said at the shop I am led to believe that they will be taking the matter up with their supplier.

Here are the restrictor orifices I am referring to.
