So I’m about to buy the new iPhone and was going to buy an underwater case.

Any recommendations for cases that work with the wide angle lens?

Kraken Smarthousing should work, just check the dimensions they state them on the website.

That case looks amazing. It’s also really expensive. It might be better to just buy a GoPro

this (or a paralenz) would be my recommendation. Every camera case eventually floods, it’s more a matter of time/# of dives than if it’ll happen. With that in mind, I’d be super bummed to lose both my camera and my cell phone. Easy to transfer the photos/videos to your phone for posting and no risk of ruining your phone.

Personally i wouldn't risk my phone with an underwater case, if it floods your phone and all of your pictures, contacts etc are gone.

The good cases cost about as much as a GoPro (ex Kraken case) so it might be a better idea to just get a dedicated diving camera.

Not to mention the pressure that im not sure will do the delicate electronics any good.

Iv'e seen a diver use one of those cases and at 100ft you could visibly see the pressure the depth is exerting on the screen of the phone, it looked like someone was pressing their thumb on the screen really hard.

try hotdive h2 pro scuba phone case, waterproof to 80m without problems.
