It's a Triton.

Not sure if you've seen the teardown on CCRx Warren but here's a link
Multi3S Triton Teardown

There are a few other triton Q&A threads over there already.
I posted prior to OP adding what unit and picture. At first all he said has anyone dive the new MCCR.

I have seen the Triton

Looking at the photos in the Teardown article I have some questions or concerns:
  • Clear plastic material of the counterlungs looks fragile.
  • The scrubber canister uses a single oring seals, not double
  • Chest mounted?
Various Drager models have used single oring on Pports for a long time. Doesn't seem to be a problem

There are lots of chest mount units in military use, no so much in the recreational community. Although white arrow made a couple at one time. Not sure why chest mount is a problem per se although like many units WOB and chipmunk cheeks is going to depend a lot on your trim.

It looks like it has an extreme design priority for compact & light weight over durability, expansion, and utility.

Unless that is what you want, I'd look into other MCCR units like the KISS Spirit LTE or Sidekick which might balanced units from a company with a solid history and reputation.

The pictures from that teardown show what looks like an old model Triton. If you're interested I'll try and get some pics of mine (2019 version) when I get home.
FWIW:
  • The lungs are now black and seem pretty tough
  • Scrubber canister has two orings at the bottom, one a the top - if any are missing it is easy to tell as the scrubber rattles around inside. From memory there are only three sizes of o ring on the whole thing so it is easy to carry spares etc. and you can strip/rebuild without tools
  • chest mounted: yes
Expansion: you can't get a bigger scrubber in there if that's what you're thinking about.
WOB: Bearing in mind that I've only ever try-dived on a JJ and an AP before getting the triton...WOB seems great.with the triton: for me it isn't noticeably different to OC and it is a consistently good breathe in pretty much any orientation (though as I recall, lying on my back was a bit harder)

Hi
+1 with the post above.
I also do have a Triton. A really good small machine :)

if this is the style you're looking for, I'd wait a few weeks and see Dive Rite's offering. It'll be built by a long established company with known great customer service support.

M&M...

I am the OP...

I'd be very appreciative if you can post or PM me with any photos/info/purchasing/training info etc....on the current iteration of the Triton...

I'm intending on finalizing a purchase immediately after the beginning of the New Year...

Best...and thank you...

Warren...
