Would having a non "standard" exhaust valve bother anyone? I'd try one for myself first of course. Assuming SP is right the only difference will be colour.

Yes, they are not interchangeable with a G260. It seems the G250HP valve is the same size as a G250V just clear in colour as opposed to blue.

On second thoughts the G250V valve is a fraction too big for a G250 and occasionally gets hung up as I found out. It's my understanding a G250HP case is almost identical to a G250, that being said the G250HP valve might just be a tad smaller, from memory not enough to cause an issue on a G250V. Now I'm curious and want to check for myself.

I took exhaust valves from G250HP and G250, measured and then pressed them together along the outside edges. Visually they appear to be identical size to me. Now I am off to check prices on digital calipers, squinting at mm marks on a ruler is a pain.

Considering SP had a campaign to convert G250ies (the ones with CE stamped on them) to G250HP, I would say are the same. Pre CE stamped cases were not convertible.

Edit: The "standard" G250 (both CE and pre-CE) and HP shared the same exhaust valve p/n 11.250.103 The 250V exhaust valve part number is 11.261.103. Oddly, the 260 also has an 11.250.103

I'm almost positive the G250HP and G250 exhaust valves is the same size and a fraction smaller than a G250V.

You are right my schematics show G250HP and G260 as having same exhaust valve 11.250.103. I just checked my G260 and it's exhaust valve is also clear.

I'm gonna go with a G250V won't fit a G250/HP as it's about a mm larger in diameter and catches on the sides of the case, I know this because I tried it.

I'm going with a G250/HP valve will fit a G250V as it's only about a mm smaller in diameter. Im going to measure the case opening on a G250 and a G250V.

Added: it's probably less than a mm as it only occasionally catches, just a fraction too big.

I'll order one and have a play a cross the three models G250/G250V/G260.

Ok, going to order parts for 2x G250Vs with HP/G260 exhaust valves to see if it works, I'm 99.999% sure it will.

Assuming no other G250V parts come back as NLA I'll check in the new year to see if people would be bothered by a non standard exhaust valve, if people aren't bothered and there's interest I'll do a limited run.

Not comfortable selling with a substitute exhaust valve until I've tried it first.
