Sometimes it does. I've gotten first class meals and desserts but mostly they give me the whole bottle of water, which, sometimes, is even better. Mostly, the most satisfying thing is the look of surprise on their face when you give it to them.

While I have never considered bringing chocolates for the crew, I always make a point of engaging as many of them as possible with respect and patience while boarding, in-flight and departing. I do this hoping that it counters some of the nonsense they have to put up with on a daily basis.

I always tip the surgeon before a procedure but I reckon to give more o the anesthesiologist because he'll be the one to make sure I wake up.

I suppse that you are joking, of course...
Giving money to doctors for a better treatment is a relevant crime here. It is bribing!!!
And they do not really need it, their wages are already very high.

This. My father was an airline pilot for his entire time working after leaving the navy. You’d be shocked how something as small as chocolate can make the cabin crew extremely happy and thankful. I’ve scored a decent amount of free booze on flights by providing candy/chocolate to the crew before flight and small verbal thank you before we take off. This works especially well if you live somewhere that has something unique to your location (chocolate, candy etc) that’s only produced or sold in your home town.

Make sure they are fresh. Otherwise those rocks of boiled and baked dough will get you moved to a seat adjacent to the lavatory.
