I think there has been a misunderstanding, I don't think he was doing any such thing. He's a good friend of mine by the way.

I had two new G250Vs for sale but they were $235 each. I have no second hand standard G250s anymore and given SPs astronomical price hike on parts as at Jan 2020 I very much doubt I'll be ever getting again. Good luck with your search. Cheers.
