I'm sure this has been explained before, but, I was wondering about the significance of the various letters preceding the model number of Scubapro 2nd stages. I own a bunch of Rs, Gs, and Ss

A700
C370
D420
G260
R195
S600

Thanks

I thought it had to do with who designed it.

Gustav Dalla Valle designed the G250,

Dean Garraffa designed the D350

The D shaped valve lever in the three old D series?

Correct, the 2nds have been named after their designers:

A - Alberto Belloni
C - Corrado Cominetti
R - Roberto Semeia
D - Doug Toth
G - Dean Garaffa
S - Roberto Semeia
Interesting. Why no prefix for the 108, 109, and 156?

I've always called my first regulator, bought in 1972, still in operation today, the R109. I don't know about the 108 or the Balanced Adjustable
