According to Olympus- the TG6 is not compatible with The TG5 housing- need to use 059- the 058 did not line up correctly with the buttons on the TG6, so i contacted Olympus.

Not according to Backscatter and several other reviews, of course Olympus would want everyone get the 059. Exactly what didn't line up?

Cheers

Copy that, my tg6 works just fine in the O58 housing. Wouldn't have sold the tg5 and bought a tg6 if it hadn't.

Anybody want to donate or sell cheap their old TG-5 to me? I'm going to Duain in the fall and don't have a macro capable camera.

Finally got to test drive my TG-6 this past weekend at the Blue Heron Bridge.

I added a Kraken Hydra 2500 light to my setup paired with my YS03 Strobe. Got some great shots, really pleased with the setup

Are you using the Kraken 2500 in addition to the strobe or just to focus? I have the same video light and have a ys-d2j strobe that I want to start practicing with so I'm curious what you have found works well for the "one video light, one strobe" set up. Did you find the need to add a second strobe? The battery life on the kraken at high power is not very long.

Yes I am using it in addition to the strobe. I have a GoPro mounted on my rig most of the time and use the Kraken as a video light and the strobe as additional lighting for the TG-6.

I have used the Kraken as a strobe as well in conjunction with the YS03 strobe with great results.

Thank you, this is really helpful! I have my GoPro on my rig all the time as well for easy wide angle

You can also use landscape mode in the TG6 and setup white balance as well. :)
