Yes in most conditions, the counter weight located underneath the float makes it self righting.

For divers wishing to use larger flag/longer pole, 'wondering if one could make the MAKO Hawaiian Hard Float TRULY Hawaiian, by adding double outriggers.

Maybe use pool noodle sections as lateral support floats, DIY.

Maybe Dano @ MAKO could design and add it, as another option.

Note: Posted this on other thread: Show Me The Best Most Robust Dive Flag Available, Please..

'Hoping that Dano will see it, and test/design a commercial product.

Thanks for the suggestion!

We have a lot of balls in the air right now with bringing new spearguns, suits and a variety of other products to market - during this difficult economic time.

One of the constraints for a design is that it should be able to be towed through the surf zone and maybe even slowly behind a boat (as the divers approach a particular dive site) and retain excellent hydrodynamic drag effects.

I really do appreciate the support of our customers during these unsure times.

I like the idea of adding a couple of swim noodle pieces on the float's sides so that maybe a longer pole/larger flag can be used.

I'd like to buy one. How much and do you ship to Texas?

@MAKO Spearguns - Old thread, and glad to see it up top again. As an update here, I've used it [hard float] for a few years now. It is great in our 2+ kt current, making little tow force. Even when I grab a rock, it just slices the water. I have been real happy with it. The folks on the surface shadow boat say it shows well for visibility, and doesn't pull under like the pencil floats.

Well done Dano!

(Now, if the Canadian authorities would open the River again for diving..... this COVID thing sucks!)

THANKS! rhwestfall! Glad to hear it is still working for you.

We ship to most countries. We have free shipping in the CONUS if the order is $100. If you want to see the actual shipping charges just fill out the shopping cart with the shipping address and you will be able to see the shipping charges without finalizing the purchase.

Thanks
Dano
