For those of us who do not hear beeps, the vibration alert is wonderful.

Even for those that can hear beeps having the vibration allows you to know it is your beep. Or in my case which computer is beeping. Unfortunately I don't feel that the vibrating alerts are stronger enough to be used alone. At least not when wearing a wetsuit.

Don't forget the $400 cheaper.

well you wouldn't be paying full retail for a petrel1 at this point.

not having ai or the compass kind of hurts though and the worst case would be the peregrine ai shows up soon. i would hate to buy a peregrine now and the ai option show up 6 months later.

I don't hear or feel alerts at all.

No AI; not for me. But I can see how many would like this.

Yeah lack of AI is a non-starter for me. I really can't believe they didn't include it. I know the Garmin Mk 1 didn't either but at least it had something unique to offset it (the great fitness/day to day watch aspect + GPS), this is just a neutered Perdix.

AI, compass, trimix. Which would you pay extra for?

Maybe they should adopt the Tesla model and include certain features that you have to pay extra to unlock.

I'd be most interested in a base Teric and would be happy to pay $100 to unlock the compass. I wouldn't pay for trimix or AI at this point, but who knows what the future will bring?

While I love how it looks, I haven't found the compass in either my Teric or Perdix to be nearly as accurate as a traditional analog wrist compass (yes, I calibrate my compasses), so wouldn't pay a cent extra to have it included if they were optional. I however will never buy a non AI computer (I guess unless it's hooked up to a CCR, since I don't think those are technically AI lol).
