Thanks for the replies everyone.

I realize what I have is not chopped liver . The drawer of the last pic is 1 of 2 floor drawers built just to store ALL of the gear we don't use regularly. It turned out to hold about 60% only.

Already missed going diving yesterday because I needed to get a silly part and took me forever to find it, so I attempted to organize the stuff, but reality is our small house can't absorved all the stuff we have in an organized way.
Dont regret setting up our lives around diving, but missing dives because one is drowning in gear is crossing the line.
This week we'll spread everything out a take individual photos.

I'll buy some of your double hose regs. Show me what you got there

Send me some pics if you can
rjack321 at yahoo dot com

In the double hose category I can see 5 regulators:
A Nemrod Snark III, right on top.
A Dacor with double diaphragm
A US Divers Mistral with yellow hoses that will need replacement.
A Healtways with the reverse yoke nut
And there is the one with darker yellow (or light brown) hose that is under the Nermod hose. I can't see enough of it to make out.

Good luck

I like the US DIvers Aquamatic at the bottom of the box. It is too bad those are not rebuild-able.

Ana,

Have fun sorting through the. I am sure it can be a nuisance in many ways, but I am also sure it will have some cool memories.

I hope you can find good homes for most of it.

Get a storage unit

Get a storage unit

I have a friend who is real serious vintage equipment collector and Cousteau diving equipment collector. He once told me that that "off-site storage" probably save his marriage. :D

When I read @Ana mention "2 floor drawer", I don't believe she is in the same situation.
I am just saying... :)

For me, I have surmised that a storage area needs to be well lighted. Kept in the dark, it all seems to multiply...

The tanks have bushings without a hex head on them. They will be a pain to remove for hydro.

I was wondering if that is what I was seeing. Yes, that would be a pain.

Those would need to be replaced.

During our marriage we would consult each other and do weeks of homework to replace a broken $300 microwave but when it came to dive gear the only questions on the table if any, were do we get both units at once or test one first and get the 2nd later.
Not bragging just recognizing the problem.

@letterboy storage units are not for us... I already feel bad about not using what I have. Plus I'm sure the items there will also multiply. Sounds dangerous.

The photo below shows what my husband built in the garage for the gear.
The floor drawers have wheels underneath and are big enough to hide a medium size adult (literally)

We thought the 2 floor drawers for the "old stuff" and 3-4 of the smaller drawers for consumables and spares of the gear we use every weekend.... Ha! Everything has dive gear, plus some in the guest room and shed.
Again... Not bragging just facing the issue.
