For Specs

Its a 4 stage radial design industrial compressor block for industrial gas including ambient air
Not popular with the 'scubee doos' due its low RPM heavy block design and its subsiquent higher build cost

Hence the its a Bauer no Its a MAKO fixation on cheap junk for the scoobe market.

1st stage 4.31" 109mm
2nd stage 1.94" 49mm
3rd stage 0.995" 25mm
4th stage 0.50" 12.8mm
Piston Stroke 2.00" 50mm

Delivery at 6600psi and 1050 RPM is 12 acfm
Delivery at 6600psi and 1200 RPM is 14.4 acfm

Delivery at 5000psi and 1100 RPM is 14.4 ACFM
Delivery at 5000psi and 1200 RPM is 16.6 ACFM
Delivery at 5000psi and 1400 RPM is 18.2 ACFM

At Ambient air intake interstage pressure range max should read around
1st 60psi
2nd 280psi
3rd 1050psi
4th 6000psi

Oil synthetic diester 4.5 litres (US 4 Quarts)
Oil pressure 60 psi
Oil Flow 0.75 GPM (US Gallons converted)

Block Weight 65 Kilos (135 Lbs)
You also have stage auto drain fitted as standard.
 
I just talked to a rep at Hypres. According to him.. This pump is a NA18 and was manufactured by North American Compressor Corp (NACC). He says it does look like a Bauer, and does have "some" common parts with a Bauer. (such as valves)..

He says NACC has been out of buisiness for a few years, but that he stocks "all the parts"..

Eh? The OP didnt ask who built it? He just asked for its specs and for the filter specs
Besides he was a genuine diver not some airgun pintball time waster so I replied exactly what was requsted.

In answer to your question the block was build by Noel Hansen and the package was built by Ron Peeler.
The exact model number is dependant on the specific build and the generic NA18 quoted above is just the bare block.
 
He is also wrong, it looks nothing like a Bauer well maybe looking at it from the moon I guess. LOL

Do you have any opinions on the viability of this compressor being used for a SCUBA fill station? Set up with a mixing stick to pump 32% into a bank?

@iain/hsm would have told you if he thought it was a POS. He's not shy about it. If he's saying it's an industrial block and it's only not used in the scuba industry because it has a higher $/cfm purchase cost, then that's about as high of praise as you'll get. I'd ask your guy what a full rebuild kit will be, and go from there. Industrial grade compressors are rarely going to have anything crazy go on them unless they're frozen. If it move's freely now *should be able to turn the crank with a wrench *belt removed* if you can't plug it in before you commit, then it's probably fine. Do a full overhaul on it if it is cost effective so you start with a known quantity and off you go.
