I'm just guessing of course but he probably went back to retrieve some of his own property and ran into changed locks or some such.

People can be so sadly foolish sometimes.
Nope - his old facility which he contaminated with lead was in an industrial park.
The pending charge is for residential burglary which is considered more serious as it's someone's house.

This is a huge reason to buy equipment from first world (US/Europe etc.) manufacturers. At least there is enforcement, cleanup, and publicity when these incidents happen here. You can bet your bottom dollar that this kind of dumping is happening tenfold with total impunity at nearly every Chinese manufacturer.

But Force Fins are too expensive... Waah.

Sad that Scubaboard has become a platform for a group of six to lay their crap on the table .
go to facebook washington justice , you are a disgrace
Washington Justice, is a collaborative account between 6 people who have been investigating both Seasoft and Ecology. Although one person is in charge of posting here, we collaborate for the common goal of simply sharing the truth. You will not see this account post anything that doesnt have hard evidence to back it up.

Attached is another file related to this case.
I hope the public digests this information and comes to a reasonable conclusion.

Disagree politely. I think that they’re doing a service exposing the truth here. Bruce is free to argue back on SB. His silence speaks volumes.

Does anyone have a link or other method to search out the details of that criminal case? I spent more than a reasonable amount of time searching and can't find it. I'd love to read the details. I was kind of defending the guy because I had the impression he was getting screwed by his local government... but if he's just a thug breaking into houses, that kind of changes who the guy is in my mind. If that's true, then maybe he really did deliberately dump a bunch of lead down the drain...

You can look more into it at the Thurston county Odyssey portal.
I have uploaded a screenshot of the case number.

It is not in Bruce's interest to respond in a public forum when the cases he is contending with are still pending. One doesn't need to be a lawyer to understand that. I also think Bruce's efforts with his posts earlier on were a disservice to himself and his business. He was probably trying to get ahead of the issue and provide some perspective to the diving community concerning the veracity of the issues from his side of things, but I think this has largely backfired. There are 3 things that are generally true in the US legal system:

1. One is innocent until proven guilty.
2. Despite the above statement, the person sitting at the defendant's table typically has an uphill battle to prove they are not guilty.
3. No one is found "innocent" as a result of a trial, one is only found 'not guilty"....they are neither semantically nor functionally the same thing. One's "innocence" is tarnished/lost even if the verdict is in the defendant's favor as it is stripped away from mere involvement in the legal process as a defendant.

The truth can be spun...I suspect that the people behind Washington Justice have an agenda. There focus seems to be on "exposing" Bruce/Seasoft. The exposure is already there, it is recorded and available as public record...they are not exposing anything, they are just swaying public opinion...it is a bit disingenuous to do that anonymously.

BTW, I am not apologizing for or admonishing Bruce/Seasoft for the issues he is facing. I don't know him other than a couple of back and forth posts on Scuba Board.

I just don't believe in kicking someone when they are down, and I don't believe that dragging Bruce's name through the mud accomplishes anything.

I also believe that if Seasoft was intentionally polluting as a matter of standard practice there would have been lots more violations and larger amounts of lead found. Though it has been quite a few years, I was the assistant director of a hazmat management facility and am familiar with Cercla Superfund sites, hazardous waste cleanup/abatement. I am also a firearms collector and have spent considerable amounts of time at both indoor and outdoor ranges in Washington State (I am WA State resident, despite living overseas)...I would wager that during a single outdoor range visit that I have personally put more lead into the environment than Seasoft did in any of their alleged violations.

My take on things from what I read is:

1. Bruce/Seasoft is not denying that lead was improperly disposed of.
2. Bruce/Seasoft seems willing to address the issues found and seems willing to pay fines but he seems to be arguing that the fines are excessive.
3. Bruce/Seasoft contend that the press release is libelous/slanderous...the defense to this is that what is said in the press release is the "truth"...that will be the nexus of legal arguments in any action he brings as a plaintiff in a tort claim.

Despite how things end up, I hope for Bruce's sake that his business was set up/registered as an LLC or corporation.

Ummm so there are 2 L&I (OSHA) civil cases for willful violations of worker safety standards, a MTCA (RCRA) civil case for reckless handling of lead and process water, a US patent infringement case, and a felony burglary case all pending against Bruce.

I am sensing a pattern here!
the patent case is nothing to say anything, lots of patent troll in dive industry that have put patents on stuff with LOTS of previous art
