it helps us understand where we came from and advances ..........im happy sam has it .....its always helpful to know a history .....
im sure if you asked ...SAM would comply ....

The core issue is the preservation of historical resources. Sam collected the good stuff, he isn't going to see it frittered away.
His kid? A big diver and likely to carry on the legacy of Sam's library.
Can't get to it today? It's not your stuff. Enjoy the titbits that come your way - I do.
Folks that have collections seldom let them waste away.
Sam has the resources, and likely the motivation, to preserve and digitize his collection.
Sooner or late - in some format - my cash money is on access.
Maybe you should proposition Sam - a big contribution to digitize and make his collection publically available?
