Guys, The MK5/6/7/8 have the same piston.
The MK9/10 have the same piston but different than above.
FWIW the MK20 & 25 have interchangeable pistons.

Received micro mesh but now after looking at the knife edge closer, I’m wondering if it’s actually repairable?

I have a few old 2 port MK5's that I haven't opened up yet... I can check if one has a good piston I can send you. If you're interested, let me know... I'm finishing up the seat savers for you, so I could throw it in with those.
Then you can still try to fix that one for a spare!

Respectfully,

James

If anyone has one for sale I would love to buy. The rest of the reg is in perfect condition, not sure why the piston is in the condition it’s in.

I'll crack open the older MK5s I have and let you know... If I have a good one for you, I'll expect my usual rates (help someone else when you can)!

Bought this as NOS, everything but the piston is in perfect condition. Pooh

Stuff like that happens when a shop pooches a service on someone's gear, they quick scavenge a part, and then forget to follow up with getting the part again... It is set aside to not be sold until fixed, and is lost. So is the history...

First one I opened looks good to me... I'm just looking with a hand magnifying glass, but looks good and passes the fingernail test. In the picture, what looks like a nick is just the bathroom lights reflecting... I rotated it to verify. If you agree, then it's getting packed up for you.
