Unfortunately that's not enough if you need to repeat the test. But it does help those coming on long overseas flights.

Anyway, let's hope they just drop the requirement as it descends into farce anyway. Let's face it, as soon as you get into a confined space over a few hours with 200+ strangers of various nationalities, your odds of catching this virus increase by few orders of magnitude.

That's unfortunately true: if don't manage to get your test at departure, you can get a test at arrival... See (as usual) Egypt Air and IATA
