Because everyone needs a little GSB from time to time. Magical four minutes with these large residents of the Avalon Underwater Park. I presume it's a female/male pair. Breeding season is approaching and you frequently see the males hanging right off the tail of the female. Fish are about four feet long, estimated weight 350 pounds or so (speakers on):

Awesome headed there this Sunday. Lately our fb group has seen them often in Laguna and last weekend at La jolla cove and LJ shores too. Seems many sitings lately woohoo.

Always a hi lite of a SoCal dive trip

+1 like for soundtrack

Would also have accepted Reunited by Peaches and Herb, Let's Stay Together by Al Green, or If Ever Your In My Arms Again by Peabo Bryson.

Ken, you should have seen the three I filmed yesterday. Totally hopped up on hormones. It was wild.

I hope you didn't turn your back!

So sweet! Is that a cut on the dorsal of the "female"? You know the one being chased? We are going to Catalina Saturday (front side). I have a question for you Ken, last month it was pretty warm in Farnsworth at 64F with one thermocline that I felt the cold but did not get cold. Almost too warm for my 7ml. I am considering using my 3ml and a lavacore this weekend. What do you think?

Yes, I think it is. Bill was thinking maybe a spear gun injury (although i can't imagine anyone being stupid enough to try to spear a GSB but you never now).

I had 65º below the thermocline in Avalon on Monday. Just depends on how easily uo get cold. if you wearing too much, you can always open a zipper and let cool water in. If you're not wearing enough, you'll simply curse yourself and wonder why you didn't wear more. I always advise to opt on the side of too much for those reasons. (But you never know unless you try. Maybe take both???)
