If you are happy with what you have you should be able to dive your suit without issues. The flocked lined gloves you found at Menards should not pose a problem because the smooth outside cuff of the gloves is what is going to seal against the cuff ring. The only issue is one of hand dexterity meaning you need to get everything set up before putting your arms in your suit and zipping it shut as the gloves might diminish your ability to get your gear set up.

Specifically about your questions:
1. Will the standard scubaboard glove recommendations work for this system?
I am not really sure their is a standard scubaboard glove recommendation...lots of folks are using the SHOWA Atlas gloves like you bought or similar model number (495, 695, etc)...the most common are the blue or orange PVC coated gloves, but in the past few years SHOWA has produced the 720 which is a nitrile glove flocked with acrylic instead of cotton. These are more supple when cold, more puncture and tear resistant than their PVC cousins and are also a bit stretchier.
2. What exactly are the attributes we need in dry gloves? For instance, I see the Ansell g17 is latex with 30.00 mil thickness. My local Menards sells a neoprene/latex blend glove that is 28.00 mill thickness but they are "flock-lined".
Durability is a good selling point for some of us. Low price and availability for others. The issue with latex gloves is they don't provide much of any insulating capacity and it cuts very easily. The SHOWA 720 made from nitrile, as an example, has better insulating properties and is more durable than latex gloves.
3. What should I use to get that sticky residue off of the ring? The manual states the gloves should have been removed if not diving for several weeks. My guess these gloves have been on for a long time.
I see in one of your posts that you used acetone....that certainly worked I bet, the concern with acetone is it can negatively affect plastic. I would have recommended denatured alcohol or hot water with dawn dish soap.
Acetone evaporates quickly so it was probably not in contact with your rings long enough to have a material impact on them unless you soaked them in an acetone bath. The rings are not aviation structural component so their is not really a risk of catastrophic failure from the short duration I suppose you had acetone in contact with them to remove the residue.
4. If I ever just wanted to put latex wrist seals over the rings it looks like I just buy standard seals. Is this correct?
Yes but with a caveat, you should give the folks at DRIS a call and discuss if there is a size of latex seal that would work best for what you have....critical is the opening that will stretch over the rigid ring of your system....if the latex seal is stretched too much it can tear when pressing the rigid ring with latex seal into the suit. Another issue and probably more critical than the other is the thickness of the seal...if the seal is too thick you might not be able press the system together properly and get a water-tight seal. While you are speaking with DRIS, ask if they think a small smear of silicone grease around the area stretched over the rigid ring would help protect the seal as the two parts are pressed together.

Here is a pic of the two parts of the system with an o-ring for securing pullover gloves if you installe wrist seals, providing to give you an idea of the diameter and thickness of the o-ring for this application...though I suppose a thinner o-ring might work too.

Is that the valve that comes standard on the Fusion?
I have had a chance to dive since receiving the warranty replacement suit, first due to school and work, and then COVID19, and now because I had to have surgery on my hand (dog leash tangled around little finger and twisted it causing it to break in 4 places plus tear the deep flexor tendon off with a section of bone)....I never had a problem with my dump valve in the past but just wondering if this is something I need to be aware of/look out for when I do get back in the water (hoping for august/september).

Recently picked up a suit for my wife that also has the SI-5 glove system installed, but she wants standard wrist seals. I can’t find any information on the DUI site as to which wrist seals to use with the system. Any guidance?
