Hi divers,

I bought a bare x mission tech evolution but was keen to swap the wrist seals for a silicone changeable system.
fitted kubis were too large so i ended up getting sitechs round rings glued in, bare also sell these rebranded as their own and they are a perfect fit.

The problem is now i put my not fitted kubis on the end attached to the silicone seals, i no longer have a seal so if the glove rips my whole suit is compromised, before i changed from latex to changeable silicone seals i could have the kubis attached to the latex and still have my wrist seal intact.

Does anyone know of any seals that may be longer so i can install them on the ring system, then install the kubis and still have my wrist seal intact?
The only other option i can think of is to wear neoprene gloves, drygloves with seals or to swap out to sitechs glove system that locks into the rings but from what i hear its crap compared to kubis and leak prone, i really want to stick with my kubis if i can.

Any help would be very much apprechiated

Which si-tech ring system did you have installed in your suit. Based on what you wrote, I am giessing you have the oval system. If this is the case then you are correct that the si-tech antares glove system has a poor following and is not recommended. But you have options if this is the ring system you have.

Waterproof ultima dgs
Roloc90
Si-tech virgo
Fourth Element Ellipse

The 4 glove system above are all designed to readilly integrate with the si-tech oval wrist rings so one can dive with dry gloves while still retaining a silicone (or latex) wrist seal.

I recently wrote a review of the 4th element ellipse system and have since switched back to the Ultima dgs, but I would recommend you look at the Roloc90 system.

these are the rings i have installed, they are sitech rings. the website says they will take sitechs quick cuff system but ive heard nothing good about any sitech glove system

if i could use waterproof ultimas i would be happy. they seem to be just as good as kubis, downsides? not made of metal but with the added bonus of clicking into place

Ok...that is the si-tech QCP (quick cuff platform) round system.

For those cuff rings you have the option of:

Si-tech glove lock dry glove rings
Si-tech quick glove dry glove rings

The two glove systems above are designed to integrate directly with the QCP cuff ring system.

I recommend the glove lock system....it is solid, dependable, and dry. It will allow you to easily mount gloves and have a silicone or latex wrist seal on your suit.

I did see that system it looks OK as it has a twist off to remove the gloves, something that is hard with both the ultimas and the kubis in my experience if not lubed enough, does anyone know of any way i could potentially use the not fitted kubis or WP ultimas with the rings i have or am i just hoping for too much?

You didn't ruin your suit, so don't sweat it. You don't really need the seal if you are running with dry gloves.

Here's the deal:
Gloves don't tear, they get a pin pricks - Solution: Spare gloves and super glue for a quick fix

Even with wrist seals you have to create an airway under the seal. (straws, strings, etc) So if there is a leak in the glove it's coming in anyway. But not that much water, maybe your forearm gets wet.

I've used dry gloves with out wrist seals forever, or had them tear and never fixed them. No big deal.

You can use your kubi or the ultima system with your current setup but as you experienced.the system will mount to your wrist seal....that kinda of defeats the purpose of having the si tech system in place.

If.you like the kubi system, then why not remove the si-tech cuff rings and have the kubi system mouned to yout suit?
