Quick Change Drysuit Seals

Morning all. Ihope all is well with you all.

I have an older oceanic drysuit that originally had latex seals. When the seals finally deteroriated I had neoprene seals installed. I hate them. I don't like the way they feel or seal. I am going back to latex or sillicone. I know someone will want to ask what I don't like about the neo seals or tell me how I must be using them wrong but my mind is made up on latex, it's just what I want.

My question is, how easy is it to install quick change seals on a suit? Also which of these seals do you like and why? I like being able to have a new set of seals in the kit incase I rip one gettting ready for a dive.
I'm talking about the SiTech, DUI, and other types of quick change seals.

i have the sitech system and quick changed both wrist seals at the dive site before and the neck seal at home. way easier than glue on seals, although i am not sure i would DIY the original installation. the dui zip seals just cost too much.

Thanks for your info. I noticed the difference in price too. I am leaning towards the SiTech seals so far.

Kubis would be a better option than the Sitech.

I've had Sitech's (the round verision) and Kubis, and much prefer the Kubis.

The other point is that (with either) you can use silicon seals in preference to Latex, which might be important if you are developing an allergy to the latex.

Which si-tech ring system did you have installed in your suit. Based on what you wrote, I am giessing you have the oval system. If this is the case then you are correct that the si-tech antares glove system has a poor following and is not recommended. But you have options if this is the ring system you have.

Fourth Element Ellipse

The 4 glove system above are all designed to readilly integrate with the si-tech oval wrist rings so one can dive with dry gloves while still retaining a silicone (or latex) wrist seal.

I recently wrote a review of the 4th element ellipse system and have since switched back to the Ultima dgs, but I would recommend you look at the Roloc90 system.

Thanks. Not really looking for gloves just seals. I don't see diving in a place where I need gloves for the foreseeable future.

If not looking for the gloves then you can get the Sitech PU rings from Seaskin and the oval Anteras hard rings from Seaskin, along with a set of Sitech wrist seals. All said and done your probably looking at $60 shipped to your door.

That's how I started, then decided to add the Ultimas later. The Anteras hard ring pops out, the Ultima round hard ring pops in and you would have dry gloves.

You would need glue from DRiS or home depot.
