Need help. = dreadful title
I have been offered a buy on Oceanic Ultra 7mm short women’s wetsuit, and it is new/old stock. Any reviews on this lately? How long do wetsuits last sitting on the shelf?

They last a long time properly stored. Years if not decades. If it's a really good deal, go for it!

I don't know anything about that specific model but I'm sure others here will chime in with a review.

Thank you @OTF , that is my hope.
Last review on the Oceanic Ultra was 2013, so i wondered how old this could be?
Does neoprene go bad, no way to know how it was stored, but I’ll roll the dice

Is this online or in person? If the suit has gone bad in any way (unlikely!) you'd be able to easily tell by examining it. Things like bad dents from wrinkles, stiff crusty or cracked rubber, etc. Other than that it should be mint. That's the beauty of petrochemical plastics!

For reference I have some occasionally-used suits that are probably 30+ years old. They're not pristine but totally serviceable as backups/loaners.

Most of my Oceanic gear was not robust to put it politely. My Oceanic 5mm boots barely lasted a season and the sole came right off on my wife's. Fingers crossed their wetsuit's are better.

Hope it was a really good deal.
It was $50 plus shipping, Solidly in the "too good to be true price range", but it is also the ONLY woman's short size 12 wetsuit I can find, and my current wetsuit I have donuts around arms and legs it is too long. Wetsuits have to be close to the skin so the pee doesn't get trapped in the folds. Just another piece of life experience.
