Ocala in Florida has some great dirt sand riding...I take my R1200GSA in there when I want to practice picking up the beast.:)

Costa Rica would be my first choice outside of the USA.

West coast states are probably your best bet? Or maybe Maine? What kind of diving do you like to do?

And for cave divers the caves are maybe an hour away.

A lot of great feedback, I appreciate it. I never considered there would be any good riding in/near FL but I may have to check it out. I didn't realize how close phoenix or NC was to the coast.

I've been trying to find out if Hawaii or Puerto Rico has good riding, but there seems to be little information which generally means no.

I've been considering west coast states. Some don't have a completely terrible cost of living like CA does. I'm game for anything, but my wife prefers warmer waters, so I suspect Maine and possibly Washington are out of the question.

The north Georgia/ BRP area is some of the finest asphalt and dirt roads on da planet! And then a few hours to the Atlantic.

Florida and California is were most of the pro motocross industry and scene is. There are plenty of tracks and stuff. Both are close to the oceans.

I used to race but now dirt bikes are on hold due to an injury sustained while practicing. I do miss riding however.

Ride safe :)

Believe it or not, NJ. My back yard backs up to forest and I can ride forever back there. and I'm only 1.5 hours from a boat to wrecks, 1.5 hour to Dutch springs, and 4 hours to finger lakes.

North Carolina strikes me as a possibility. You have an active diving scene and a lot of wrecks in Morehead and south and mountain regions in the west with lots of forested areas in between. A quick search of ATV and motorcycle riding areas on google maps resulted in a lot of hits around the state.

My bike always stalls when I take it underwater.
Hook the air intake to a regulator and put a check valve on the exhaust.

Baja!!!!

Mexico is in North America.
