OK i've search the board over to find this information but most I've found is very old. What is the best reg to buy that is still available and I can buy all the parts to rebuild easily? Thank you in advance!

I'm a big fan of Aqualung Conshelfs. Simple and reliable, second stage really only needs 1 O-ring and a standard puck type soft seat. First stage is the standard diaphragm design. All standard rebuild parts are available from 3rd party vendors. That, and chrome!

Respectfully,

James

p.s. I might have a few on my bench ready to go if you're in the market, lol.

If you want new, then Deep6 or Hog. If you don';t mind a used / older then a USD/AL Conshelf , preferably with a metal second stage or a Scubapro MK5 with a 108 or 109 second stage. Or if you want the best of both , the Conshelf first with a 109 second.

I read "still available" as currently in production, hence my answer (Deep6/HOG)...

Well i need like 7 sets so thats the biggest reason for that so there all the same from the start.

SPECIALS

I prefer Scubapro but these are hard to beat at these prices. If you buy parts before you need them even the most restrictive manufacturers parts can be found, just don’t be in a hurry.

technically Poseidon vs Deep 6 and HOG since it gives you access to a bunch of old regulators that they still make parts for and are still in production.

I have dozens of Poseidons, but I did admittedly just buy 5 sets of Deep 6 Signatures and highly recommend those over HOG for a myriad of reasons

I bought HOGs pretty early on and have been very happy ever since, but this post makes me wonder what I'm missing... could I convince you to elaborate?
