Any recent reports on how the Bay Islands held up through all the recent storms? Heading to AKR in a couple months so curious on how things are doing there. Aside from all the storms has tourism picked up?

Darn it. I was going to ask exactly the same question. Can’t find anything online.

We were at CCV for Eta. The mainland took the big hit. Honduran telcos were disputed for two or three days. The CCV employees said there was little damage on the island. Minor damage at the resort, no one was hurt. CCV was on the generator a lot for a couple of days. Our first week there were six other guests. The second week (Eta week), there were 30 other guests, and the forecast was for increasingly larger numbers.
Iirc United resumed flights the day we left.

Edit to add, I've not seen anything about the second storm.
