I arrive tomorrow for a few days of diving. Last time I was on the island (Feb) was pre-COVID and the shuttles were doing their standard procedure of packing a dozen or so people in the van shoulder to shoulder.

I was wondering if they have changed their procedures due to COVID? What should I expect tomorrow?

thanks

Supposed to be at reduced capacity, 50%. Passenger ferries have had people standing in the aisles though.......

If it's a big concern for you - ask and confirm they are only operating at 50%, ask for a private one or walk across the street to Diegos and catch a cab.

There's not an excuse in the world that they can't operate at 50%

A couple weeks back they put 9 on the one I used, 2/3 down from the normal 11/12. Took the AM ferry to Playa Tuesday on Winjet, a few minutes late while get a few more passengers on figured they loaded it to +90%

When I was there in August they were running with reduced loads. I believe there were 5 in the van. When I was there first week of November they were packed to the gills. Could have been that there were just more folks looking for a ride in November...:idk:

When I took a shuttle 11/7, the van was full.
I sat in the front and was first off so was lucky.

That is just stupid and probably that way because it's Federal and not state. It's not like there's a lack of shuttle vehicles, you see how many are parked on the way into the airport.

It's one thing to put a family of 12 in a van but 6 families of two is BS - bitch loudly!!

Pony UP

Pay for a solo van or taxi - less than a few drinks

A small cost for the comfort and in relation to the trip cost, but the choice is yours

The vans will likely be on the 'full' side - it's their model

CZM - the only airport I have ever been unable to get a taxi to my destination - not good - hurts tourism - folks don't like it

When I visited in September, FlexShuttle was offering private rides but when I asked this last trip November 7, they said they didn’t offer them anymore.
