Following this! I have a booking on the Mermaid I for Ring of Fire/Biodiversity Special (from cancellation last year.) I love the company, love the boat, and hope it will be going. It seems like it is possible to pay for a "business visa" to get into the country.

I am half-vaccinated now and will be fully vaccinated with peak immunity at time of travel. (Otherwise I would not consider it.)

Better do not think about a business visa for tourism purposes. It would be against the law. Further, laws and regulations changed daily the last week. Better wait and see. Maybe (or not) there will be tourist visa again for vaccinated people. But be aware that you still might get infected and be infectious to others.

There is a new highly contagious variant of the virus originating in the UK. We must now refer to this variant as the UK virus following your previous nomenclature. (Virus to be named after it’s place of origin). Please make sure that you refer to the correct strain in your posts from now on. We don’t want to confuse anyone with political bickering.

Several bloggers have put stuff on you tube saying how they paid US$500 to companies in Indonesia to get their visa fix so they could enter Indonesia then go on vacations in Bali and other places. Seems it hasn't gone down too well.

Or then tell you oh you can come at a later time but we have split your trip to 50% value each trip so that you have to do two dive trips to get the benefit of you deciding to delay your trip in the first place and pay the balance which means being screwed for another trip you have not planned or wanted. Oh and you cannot transfer the 50% to a friend or family member for use at the same time.
Not like some dive sites were closed by the Indonesian government and the tours could not go in the first place.

I hope they’ll open up for foreigners by then. The domestic divers were already doing it back in September-October, 2020. My cousin just sent me her trip video. However the hammerheads weren’t as plentiful this year. I wonder why?
