Today an official announcement came out trying to alert customers that ate at a specific snack shop over a week long period. It's pretty near the church which was the center of the latest cluster and one of their employees is positive for Covid. I guess we will see how that goes in the next week or so.

The way the church event worked was a singer came from Curacao. He sang in the church and then at a party after, where he walked around and sang at each table. He was the patient zero for that cluster. Oh, and the entire WEB (water and electric utility) office is closed for a couple of days because one of their office workers is positive.

And it just keeps growing:
4-Jan 65
5-Jan 74
6-Jan 85
In addition, there are currently 250 people in quarantine.
For comparison, on Dec 28 there were 27 people in quarantine.
26 new infections reported today, but 8 recoveries, for a net gain of 18....100 is now the number of active infections. And the number quarantined is up to 365. They have not yet turned the corner on this surge.

So sad
Walking table to table singing? SMH:facepalm:

Hi @tursiops

This post seems to contains Dec 24-Jan 6, when the quoted prior post is included:

And it just keeps growing:
4-Jan 65
5-Jan 74
6-Jan 85

I thought this was Jan 7:

Only 82 active cases today.....but five new cases; that is, there were eight recoveries.
Quarantine numbers have grown in one day from 250 to 320.

I thought this was Jan 8, now understand today should be 100:

26 new infections reported today, but 8 recoveries, for a net gain of 18....100 is now the number of active infections. And the number quarantined is up to 365. They have not yet turned the corner on this surge.

I deleted my graph, as it was inaccurate. For me, a picture is worth 1000 words, sorry I tried. Carry on.

Are they wearing masks?

Number of currently active infections still rising. Restrictions have been imposed. There is now a penalty, enforced by the police, for violation of those restrictions.
27-Dec 3
28-Dec 3
29-Dec 5
30-Dec 8
31-Dec 13
1-Jan 29
2-Jan 46
3-Jan 58
4-Jan 65
5-Jan 74
6-Jan 85
7-Jan 82
8-Jan 100
9-Jan 101
10-Jan 98
11-Jan 121
Currenlty 495 people are in quarantine.

Here is what the daily new infections looks like since Sept 10 when the data became routinely available.

Restrictions managed to beat down the September surge. Christmas and New years -- and increasing local reluctance to follow restrictions -- are the apparent source of the current surge.

The currently active number of infections looks like this:

The current surge is worse than before, and the mitigation measures are less effective.
