Yes, for anybody involved or related to the victims it is a huge personal tragedy. But I still wonder why these accidents are so exposed in the media. Will be news for at least a week. With daily stories about the last messages, pictures and stories about people who did not get on the plane. Four times the number of people die daily because of Covid-19. A long, nasty and very lonely way to die. Hardly makes the news here.
 
With respect, I think the media attention is warranted for a number of reasons that probably don't require elaboration.
In Indonesia until today it still makes the headlines. I do not see one reason for this. Apart from being endless clickbait.
