Aviation accidents are sensationalized in all media outlets. Been that way since the first death back in 1905 and will remain so long after we’re gone....no more, no less.

Aviation accidents are sensationalized in all media outlets.

While the sensationalism is obviously hard on the families, it is vitally important to understand why these accidents occurred and to reduce the number of future occurrences.

Civil avaition is by far the safest way of traveling. Deadly incidents are really rare...
When they occur they stand out above the millions of safe flight operations occurring everyday.
So it is normal that they get mediatic attention.
Instead people die of various common illness every day, everywhere.
It is not something particularly rare. And after one year of spreading, Covid-19 is becoming (sadly) one of the most frequent cause of death. It will remain so for a long time, so there is no big "news" about it.
