Would it not depend on where you need them to get to a balanced weight distribution, neither head nor fin heavy? That might vary by person and by total lead needs. Though putting them higher up will mean needing less in them to get to a neutral balance in your weight distribution.
Yes of course. I was just wondering the best position to start off was. My other zeagle does not have trim pockets

Higher will let the lead you put there have more effect on your weight balance. So it really depends on how fin heavy you are now. Each time you stop kicking, how quickly does gravity put you head up fins down in the water? The goal is putting enough up there so that gravity does not rotate you. (So gravity does not influence your orientation, making it easier for you to make it what you want.) I'd default to the higher position, so experimenting with the amount of lead to shift to there is easier, by needing to shift less of your total lead.
It is hard enough getting that bottom velcro cam band tight enough to fully stabilize the tank without adding 2-5 # on each side of the lower strap. I had mine on the top strap and also swapped out the velcro strap for a standard cam band. Much better.
