Has anyone ever used this to "environmentally seal" an SP Mark IX, etc.

Synthetic Grease - Multi-Purpose Lubricant | Super-Lube
I don't see a problem. Just make sure you place the grease into the first stage when it is under pressure. If you don't, the first time you pressurize the first stage, you'll have grease all over the place. Some may get into the low pressure area, and then into the LP hose too, as the pressure will make it squirt all over the place. Here's the Safety Data Sheet:

Even with the bullet still have to dance the piston in



and Molycote 111 it really stays thick
