I was hoping someone else would post this but it didn't come.

Bill Perkins, an instructor at Island Diving in Roatan, was recovered from the sea today near West End.

The details of the story are not mine to share here.

I did my rescue certification with Bill and he was an excellent and encouraging instructor. There are too many of his stamps in my dive log to count quickly. He will be missed by me and many others.

Thanks for posting it, KatieMac. This one is tough for me too.
In 2019, Bill came over to Sebastian and spent three weeks diving with us on the 1715 Fleet wrecks.
One of the finest humans I have have known.
Fair winds and following seas. RIP amigo.
