47 new cases today and one additional death. Bonaire has patients in the ICU on all three of the ABC islands. Curacao just went into lockdown.

Curacao just went into 2 week lock down

If I am reading the story correctly beaches closed and can only be out in a car on your assigned day and this includes tourists.

Still no masks . . .
No mandate from the government but plenty of people are using them anyway. Pretty much any place of business that is still open has a sanitizer station and a mask requirement to enter. I can pick up tanks and analyze them outside without a mask but I had to pay for two visual inspections and for that I had to mask up, maintain distance, and be careful about who touched what. I've also seen quite a few people just leave their masks on when they're alone, outside, walking from one place to another.

Having said that there are always those that think we just need to "live with it" (they forget those that die of it I guess) or say, "Covid isn't going away". Clearly they don't understand how vaccines work.

Thanks, Steeleyes. Wishing the best for you and everyone on the island.
