If you bring a treat on the boat for surface interval or after dive, ie: bag of hard candies or beef jerky, if you have plenty, share it with others.
I don't know about jerky, I bring bags of lollies [candy] and other snacks , I don't eat them myself, but while the young bucks and gals are eating it is harder for them to talk.
Edit: A bag of mini 'Mars bars' and 'snickers' worked a treat with a visiting dive club not long ago [noisy bunch].

We do a Captains charter once every summer. All of us on the boat are Captains and address each other accordingly.
Sure and I bet it’s a good time, but at any given time, only one Captain is in charge of the boat - or?

We are not so grandiose and call each other Captain, as an example here, " who is the Coxswain or 'Skipper' of the boat today", " a Coxswain is required for this charter". Skipper is used , never Captain.
Never called myself Captain. A Coxswains Cert or Master class 5 is required for dive charters in Australia.
Me being Ex Navy , a Captain is the "Big Kahuna", close to G.. [you know who] etc.
Oh, you are just as responsible as a "Captain", But you are a Coxswain and Master of the vessel.
I have been on charters overseas and seen " boat drivers at best" not Coxswains wearing Captain bars [some 4, others 3 as Commanders] FFS.
Rant over.B.Z.

100% correct.
Just a fun trip with friends.

And I bet it's the easiest, smoothest running charter ever, or the most disorganized cluster f#*k. Too many captains on a boat or cooks in the kitchen you know.
It goes very smoothly, nobody does anything unless asked.

"Grumpy Old Man" in charge of the ship/boat?
Ha ha, I would not call it "Grumpy" just 'Assertive'.:letsparty::p
Does not happen often, but there are times you have to "Pull Rank", it's your ar$e on the line.

This is my favorite shirt to wear on my boat.
