OP
I got my stimulus check, so I used it to stimulate my local economy at my LDS and ordered a singles wing.

GUE Intern* I know nothing—don't listen to me.I don't know but everyone should probably listen to hardattack. After all, he's a GUE instuctor and he's cool enough to use "bro" in a sentence.
Hi James, I got that part, but why buy a new BCD? He already has an evolve which requires a back plate. Could he use the 40? meh, it wouldn't be ideal considering he still needs the adapter—so with that said, picking up a 28-30lbs single tank wing and adapter would be the answer to his situation.Regardless of the approach, I believe that what Happy was pointing out originally were the fastex clips that Zeagle uses to keep the wing held to the harness at it's widest point (addressing the OPs concern about a wide wing taco-ing).
Respectfully,
James

Having seen @happy-diver post in the past, i figured he was advocating adding clips to the wing the OP has (a $3 solution) and using the Zeagle as an example of the method.... However, neither of us are inside Happy's head (I hope) so we can only guess, lol.Hi James, I got that part, but why buy a new BCD? He already has an evolve which requires a back plate. Have the adapter also, I just switched to doubles even for shore diving so I ditched my singles wing. But hey in three weeks I'll have a single wing again....... I'm starting a new group SDA (scuba divers anomous) I think most in this forum should join.

I don't think he was trolling... I think he was offering a solution.
Very cool, yeah grab a custom 30lb'er from halcyon and you're good to go. I'd also recommend Light Monkey wings. Cheers!
Halycon will match my doubles wing.
Still not sure if it's a purple addiction or a dive addiction, maybe both. I know they are expensive but I'm supporting an American manufacturer and a local shop this way.
