Don Shipley has this sub. We never dove it but we did ride it around on the surface. He's at the controls launching it in this picture. The cat in front shall remain nameless for opsec reasons.

It was custom made for him by someone I don't know. Sorry that is all I have on it. I have some more pictures and will post later.

You probably can't tell in these shots, but the jet drive says "Hamilton" on it if that means anything to you.

Interesting vessel, but confusing. How does the pilot see out? It sure seems like a lot of mass to push through the water on batteries, unless you have a small platoon of passengers. Could it be a semi-submersible (meaning that it runs almost completely submerged)?

The helm is in the rear and offset to starboard. Probably not easy to navigate.....It was designed to carry passengers, similar to this one, I think you're probably familiar with only on a larger scale. There is a lot of room in the front for "passengers.".

It isn't water tight when submerged, if that makes sense......I've only ridden in it on the surface, so I have no details on submerging......You can see the bow planes in one of the pictures.

Looks like quite the unit..
and not be used....
Looks like it could be fun to take to your local wreck site.....

Or possibly become a local wreck site.

where are they launching it? The water looks very tanic acidy. I doubt visibility in that water would even be half the length of the sub. The bow planes fold down, but I am not seeing how they pivot a single thruster in the stern is going to make controlling her pretty complicated.

A very curious design.

I had the same thought, it looks like the drug running subs.
