Mk11 is the same as the mk17 just without environmental sealing? Since it’s a diaphragm reg, even the mk11 won’t freeze in cold water right?
ALL regs run the possibility of freezing...some are better than others but no regs are immune

C370 is an incredibly good reg, very high performance. The Mk11 is a good first stage, I use them on pony bottles and use MK17 EVO as my main reg. You wouldn’t see or feel any difference between first stages until it’s time to rinse, they can both go a long time between service. I do like the ports arrangement (hose attachment points) of the 17 EVO a little better but it’s really a small difference.

Curious on how you’re getting the same price for an Mk11 and Mk17. As posted above I really like my Mk11/C370 but if there was no price difference I’d probably go with the Mk17 (the weight difference would be the only con).

Price at a bricks and mortar shop I've dealt with previously. Happy to send you a link but it's on the other side of the world from you.

Excellent!!

I wish you many decades of safe, enjoyable and awesome diving with great visibility and smooth seas!
