Cozumel Car Rental July 2021

Looking to rent a Jeep in Cozumel next month. Has anyone used Solymar rentals? Is it worth even renting a Jeep for 3-4 people? Or save a few dollars & rent a basic manual car? What about renting Jeep’s from Fiesta? I looked at Avis & Travelocity, but way more expensive than renting local operations. ISIS is the most budget friendly option with a car rental. This is our first time to Cozumel & our friend that we are going with is on his 6th trip.

In April we rented from Fiesta. Very smooth. Walked over while the rest of the group came thru customs. Was back, with the car before the last one was thru. The return was super simple. Gave him a little honk when I drove by to drop the girls off. He was standing in the road on my way back. Quick stop, he jumped in, back around to the airport. Handed him a tip, he tore up my credit card slip. Easy, peazy.

Did you rent a car or Jeep? Since it’s our first time we thought that it would be fun to rent a Jeep, but on the other hand save a few bucks to spend on diving!

It was a crossover SUV. The jeeps are fun though.
