      Mohamed,
I would like a rescue course for OW divers as it is said most incidents happens at the surface or in shallow waters (I know a person who panicked and screamed for help first time he jumped in the water) and we can not always count on there are experienced persons present. We must do the AOW before the rescue course that’s the PADI rule; however there are divers who do not intent to do the AOW course but would like to do a rescue course. The rescue course for OW divers do not have to cover all aspects but should include the most common types of incidents like identification of near panic, handling of panicking divers, bringing divers to the surface etc. I could request PADI to introduce an OW rescue course, but I’m afraid that I as a newbie would be ignored, whereas you as CDI Staff Instructor would have a lot more weight behind such a request so if you find an OW rescue course is a good idea let me know then maybe I'll start a thread to see if there support for the idea.
