    Certification Agencies:
    Dive History:
Only one dunk in the Med. Otherwise mostly local NE, and Caribbean. A few dives in Costa Rica. Get to FL whenever time and $$$ allow. Finally made it to SoCal last year for the first time... fell in love with Catalina. Long-time member of NY Aquarium Volunteer Dive Team.
    Certification History:
Was a self confessed badge collector for the first few years... all in the name of training for safety mind you! I was looking out for my 12 year old son and thought it prudent to have an actual instructor along on most dives. Did just about every PADI specialty including Ice, Deep, Wreck, Drysuit, EAN, Full Face Mask, Diver Propulsion Vehicle, along with all the usual ones. Recently did Intro Tech and now working on Adv. Nitrox/Deco Procedures.
    Certification Level:
    NAUI Instructor #50361
    # of Logged Dives:
    200 - 499
    Dive Classification:
Instructor / Assistant Instructor / Dive Master / Dive Con
    Years Certified:
    Six - Ten Years
    Dive Equipment:
Tried lots of different rigs and configurations. I am ultimately persuaded by the safety and simplicity of the Hogarthian approach with long hose and necklaced back-up. Just starting to dive doubles. Mostly all Halcyon, Jets, DUI CF200, SP regs. DR and Halcyon can lights. More focused on training than gear.
    Rebreather Experience:
Newly minted NAUI instructor. Only diving 9 years, but very training intensive. Began with my then 12 year old son, so safety has been a primary focus. Ice, reefs, wrecks... it's all good. Zero vis, I'm still happy. For me it's all about perfecting trim and buoyancy in zero gravity!
Marine conservation issues are my focus. Persuaded by DIR philosophy. NY Aquarium Dive Team for six years now. Northeast wrecks. Urban Divers Estuary Conservancy gets me in super local waters like the Gowanus Canal. Just taking up Deco Procedures and looking forward to cave training.

Be well, do justice, commit random acts of kindness, and of course... stay wet!
