Sans is French for without. I'm from the south too (Florida),so dont ask me how I know that.

Hi Dan, I posted a thread earlier this year about Banda, and you mentioned at the time that you're were planning a dive trip there this fall. I was just curious how it was? Apologies if you've already posted a trip report somewhere. You seem to be an avid Indo diver, so just curious how it compares to Komodo and Raja?

Hi Dan. I am seriously considering a trip to Malpelo in May. I have been reading the threads on here about Melpelo. Have you gone yet? I am experienced and have been to the Galapagos several times so while not being extremely concerned about current, I am a little. Also, the boat, Ferox, is not the type of luxury I'm used to. Any advice?

Sorry for the delay reply. I usually don’t check my profile posts. Only check those in inbox. I haven’t been in Malpelo, but it’s in my bucket list & thinking of going there in 2021.

Hey Dan_T, read your dive reports. Seeking your help as you appear knowledgeable abt Raja Ampat.

      1. Raja Ampat-Forgotten Island-Saumlaki aboard Blue Manta
      OR
      2. Central & Southern RA aboard Raja Emperor Laut

I'm less fussed about the vessel as I believe both above LOBs are fine -- my dilemma is itinerary.

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Sorry for the delay reply. I just don’t check my profile post. I am a bit of in dilemma in advising you on the choice since I have never been to Forgotten Island & Saumlaki, but it’s in my bucket list. I have been in RA 7x. The 8th one will be in January 2020. I would say you won’t be disappointed by going to RA.

Thanks for the trip report for Pulau Pef. Would you say the diving is comparable to Misool?
      Thank you!

@Lisamay4 yes, it was as good & for half the price. It has no A/C though. If you can sleep w/o A/C, then it would be a fantastic diving vacation.

Hi Dan. I am so sorry I just saw this! I did end up going to Misool and it was incredible on every level! I am now looking into my next trip for 2019.. Misool was perfect for my husband who is only a snorkeler. Do you think that either Wakatobi or Pulau Pef can offer the same environment for him? Thank you!!!!
