      Hi Garth,
      I dont mean to give advice where it is not needed, nor am I trying to say you would not have considered this completely.
      Do not dive with an operation that would consider abandoning you while on deco, or pulling you up before you finish.
      Also you are planning on doing this solo, which means you surface after deco ALONE at sea, with no boat.
      Although it may seem that a buddy would not be able to help you in this situation, they have a tremendous impact on your psychological survival in such a situation.

      do you dive HOG regs? if so what set are you using? i am looking into a set but i want feedback from divers that are using them and have used them in cold water
