      Hi Luko
I hope all is well and you are getting some diving in!
I am contemplating another trip to indo aboard the Arenui. We have dived the Greater Raja Ampat itinerary and were looking at the Alor-Komodo 11 day itinerary.
Whats your thoughts on Alor? https://www.thearenui.com/schedule-rates/

I am coordinating my trip to Bali. How do you arrange your Resort and Diving reservations in Padang Bai? I was going to follow your recommendations for Puri Rai Resort and Geko Dive Bali. I was also going to use Agoda to reserve room at Puri Rai just because its easier from the U.S. instead of forwarding a deposit if they require one.

      thanks, Jason.

      Hi Luko.
I will be in Raja Ampat for the third time the beginning of next March and am looking for another diving location afterwards. I was looking at a Tubbataha liveaboard but am having second thoughts. I have been to Komodo once and it was amazing but freezing. The water temperature was 24 early April. I have been to Banka in North Sulawesi twice. Haven't been to Bali/Tulamben or Sipadan. Thank you so much!

Born in France, raised in the Southern Pacific, Vanuatu -the happiest country in the world-for 7 years and New-Caledonia for 2 years, until it was time to go to university in Europe. More lifetime spent in Paris but still an islander deep in the heart.

In love with South East Asia, Leica film cameras, my Canon cameras EOS 5D, 7D, 70D, Nauticam Housings, Chateau Rayas red wine and Brunello di Montalcino, Chenin white wines from Mark Angeli, Tokaji Aszu sweet wines from Barta, having a spa in Budapest by 1°C, remote islands in the sun like Havelock, Molana or Nacula, Tuscany weekends with truffles, the people of Fiji & Vanuatu, bislama (langwej blong mifala), tuluk (the best snack in the world), spicy thai food and travel photography.

Traveling the furthest away I can afford at least twice a year, -more like three or four times on the average year- with my wife and daughter. Maybe diving is for me an alibi for traveling further and taking more photos.

    Favorite dive spots :
Sipadan & Mabul, where anything can happen from micro to mega.
Ambon, yes, I love Ambon so much : muck in 30m viz and the diveboat for myself.
Nusa Laut in Maluku Indo, a coral garden on the 7th day of creation.
Alor Bama Wall : you haven't experienced the blue color before this one.
Anilao contrasts : Blue water Beatrice in mucky nudiwonderland.
Bangka, hosting Sahaung one of the top divespot in the world according to me, plus incredible macro on a par with Lembeh.
Sangeang volcano bubbles and pristine corals growing on black sand.
Komodo national park for the coral coverage and the billions of basslets.
Raja Ampat's Cape Kri : is that possible to get so many fish and so many coral in one place???
Deacon's reef in Tawali PNG for its magical light filtering through the jungle in the shallows.
Vatu-I-Ra in Fiji for the carpets of soft corals.
Pescador island in the Philippines for the coral colors and the macro life.
SS Pres.Coolidge wreck in Vanuatu because it's so impressive.
The USAT Liberty wreck in Bali : critter on the sand slope, corals and jacks.

Photo galleries. newest : Dive paradise Milne bay in PNG, Mucking in Anilao, Diving in the PI's Visayas ,Alor Blues, Komodo corals, fish soup in Raja Ampat, colorful Bangka, beautiful Bali, amazing Ambon, remote Maluku & freaky Lembeh.. Do you REALLY like Nudis?
Earlier reports : Sipadan and Vanuatu incl.SS Pres.Coolidge, vanilla diving Reunion island ...
