During the last 15-20 years I have been to Scuba Club Cozumel 4 times. My wife and daughter have been there twice and certified there. All scuba diving and meals are there. No kayaks, jet skiis, sailboats or other distractions. You can easily find those things somewhere else nearby. But just good food, clean rooms and good diving from a long time employed staff.

Check out Aldora Divers and staying at Villa Aldora. Small groups of diving use high pressure steel tanks and you get average dive over an hour and as muc as 90 minutes.

I just retruned from Cozumel and booked the entire trip with Dive Safari. Wonderful, professional operation, and they have an onsite clean AC hotel, located right downtown, across from the pier and boat. Ask for Donna and tell her Chery from Deep 6 sent ya, she will treat you right. Enjoy your trip. It Jaded me on diving in poor viz!

Just came back for Coz and had a great time. What a great place to dive. Anyway, not being specific of your wants I will share my experience. We stayed at the Villa Blanca Hotel with a dive package from Papa Hogs. The hotel is out of town ($5 taxi ride each way) so not a lively place but clean, quiet, and next door to Papa Hogs and the pier. Nice bar with pool across the street so you don't need to go into town everynight. Papa Hogs is inexpensive but will go with another shop next time, either Blue Angel or Blue Xtsea which have been highly recommended and I have spoken with both. Hope this helps.
