Hi Peter, we saw your post re Thatch Cay, and wanted to get some more info. Which dive shop do they work with, to what dive sites do they take you? How is the food there and how much do they charge to ferry you to the mainland?

      Thank you.

Hi Edward - sorry I didn't reply (didn't see your message) and in fact haven't got back to Mike yet, due to pressure of work etc. I'm away next week but I will contact him when I get back. And yes, we must meet up - any idea when you might be this way?

Sorry, only just spotted this. Luckily it's not too long ago. November is generally a good month to come - it's still in the rainy season but the risk of hurricanes is by then very low, it's quiet so accommodation can be cheaper, and it's still quite warm enough for most people.

For the three week DM course I charge US$750. You need to be a Rescue Diver and have a current first aid certificate, and to have a minimum of 40 dives. Personally I would rather see you with over 100, as there's no substitute for experience. I also require anyone I certify as DM to be nitrox certified - this can be done during the DM course.

There are various materials you will need - best go to a local PADI shop. I would also prefer it if you had an instructor manual, as you need to know a lot of what is in it.

What is the cost of the three week DM coourse?
